Responsibilities:
- Validate and process lottery prize claims by verifying player eligibility, age, and identity using secure verification tools and IRS TIN matching systems
- Prepare, approve, and distribute prize payments via checks or prepaid debit cards, ensuring compliance with Lottery and IRS standards
- Manage cash handling operations, including balancing drawers, daily deposits, and reconciliation of claims activity
- Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, ensuring secure storage of sensitive winner information and adherence to audit policies
- Respond to player inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy, ensuring an engaging and positive claimant experience
- Monitor and balance instant ticket inventory, ticket vending machines, and SCIQ systems, ensuring efficient claims center operations
Requirements:
- High school/GED and 1 year of experience in customer service, cash handling, or operating in an office environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and recordkeeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer engagement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and maintaining professionalism under pressure
- IRS TIN Matching System access (Preferred)
- Notary Public certification (Preferred)
- First Aid and CPR certifications (Preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Hiring Rate: $20.25/hr (this non-exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
