The Infrastructure Engineer 3 supports the building and implementation of engineering, administration, and modernization of our enterprise Alteryx platform across on‑premise and hybrid cloud environments. This position will design and implementation a new Alteryx Server environment within our data centers using the Enterprise Pipeline (EPLX), while also driving strategic planning and migration to cloud-based infrastructure. This role focuses on platform stability, maintenance, security, incident reduction, workflow optimization, and enabling ongoing modernization efforts. The engineer partners with other Alteryx engineering staff, Architecture, Platform Operations, Cloud Engineering, Security, and application teams to maintain a reliable, compliant, and scalable analytics environment. Required Qualifications 1+ years of hands-on, practical experience supporting and administering multi-component Alteryx Server environments Experience in Windows Server operations including administration, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting, with proven experience managing enterprise server environments. Experience implementing and managing monitoring for Alteryx Server (queue depth, job failures, Controller health, MongoDB performance), and tuning performance based on operational metrics. 2+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform support. Alteryx Server Administration Certification Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch) and familiarity with the Alteryx Swagger API. Experience administering multi‑node platforms, including DNS, SSL/TLS, certificates, and load balancers. Working knowledge of MongoDB and SQL Server Experience installing and managing connectors and drivers across Windows/Linux environments. Understanding of enterprise vulnerability remediation, patch cycles, and security standards. Familiarity with ITIL or similar incident/change management frameworks Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) fundamentals or cloud migration workstreams. Preferred Skills Alteryx Core Certification Python development (1+ years) and experience with REST API integrations. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub preferred) and automated deployment patterns. Ability to assess and optimize workflow performance and server configurations. Experience analyzing workflow and server compatibility for migration to cloud environments and supporting hybrid architecture patterns. Key Responsibilities Preview Hybrid Cloud & Data Center Modernization Support Assist with evaluating and planning hybrid cloud adoption and Next‑Generation Data Center (NGDC) migration activities. Support analysis of current‑state and future‑state architecture, contributing to cloud and data center transition plans. Automation, Integration & Performance Optimization Automate environment setup and monitoring tasks where feasible. Optimize workflows, analyze long‑running jobs, and improve server configuration for performance and scalability. Alteryx Platform Administration Administer, monitor, and support Alteryx Server across multi‑node environments (Controller, Gallery, Worker nodes). Perform patching, maintenance, job queue monitoring, and daily platform operations to ensure performance and uptime. Troubleshoot workflow execution issues, handle job failures, and provide Level 2 operational support to platform users. Platform Upgrades & Lifecycle Management Execute version upgrades, coordinate testing, and manage license renewals, SSL certificates, and core MongoDB maintenance. Support SQL Server and MongoDB environments for Gallery, persistence, and metadata. Security, Compliance & Risk Management Remediate vulnerabilities, maintain secure credential practices, and integrate with enterprise password vault solutions. Ensure all connector/driver installations and updates follow SDLC and enterprise security standards.
