Role Overview

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time position based at W Racing Team Americas U.S. headquarters in Kannapolis, NC. This role supports the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of WRTs growing U.S. motorsport program and works closely with the WRT Belgium finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Cash Management

- Prepare, process, and execute vendor payments (ACH, wire, check)

- Manage vendor setup, W-9 collection, and payment terms

- Perform vendor statement reviews and payment follow-up

- Manage and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and expense reports

Accounting & Close

- Support monthly close activities in Microsoft Dynamics 365

- Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, accruals, fixed assets)

- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation

- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations with WRT Belgium

Reporting & Audit Support

- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting

- Support annual audit preparation by providing schedules and documentation

- Ensure accurate documentation and audit trails within D365

Compliance & Process Support

- Support U.S. compliance requirements (sales/use tax filings, reporting support)

- Ensure adherence to internal accounting controls and company policies

- Assist in improving accounting processes as the U.S. entity scales

Internal Support & Collaboration

- Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders (operations, logistics, management)

- Assist with sales invoicing and cost tracking as needed

- Work closely with the U.S. operations team to ensure accurate cost allocation

Profile & Qualifications

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience

- Bachelors degree

- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred but not required

- Strong organizational and analytical skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
