Power Electronics Applications Engineer

We’re recruiting for a Power Electronics Applications Engineer to join our client’s engineering team in Raleigh, North Carolina . This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to work with a global leader in power and thermal management technologies , serving customers across automation, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing markets. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

In this role, you’ll serve as the technical bridge between engineering, sales, and customers—providing design-in support, troubleshooting, and system-level expertise for power and thermal products. You’ll validate new designs, collaborate with global R&D teams, and help customers implement efficient, reliable power conversion and cooling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for customer design projects and key accounts.

• Deliver pre-sales support, application guidance, and post-sales issue resolution.

• Test and validate new product designs to ensure performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with R&D on design improvements and technical documentation.

• Support sales with training, product demos, and industry events.

• Develop customer-facing materials such as application notes and success stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.

• Experience with power electronics products and applications.

• Hands-on knowledge of AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters, chargers, or motor drives.

• Familiarity with thermal technologies such as EC fans, liquid cooling, pumps, and solenoids.

• Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.

• Willingness to travel 20–30% (domestic and international).

Additional Details

• Salary: $80,000–$125,000 base (includes ~10% bonus)
