Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has an ability to stay organized and focused on tasks. As part of our team, you will help manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain inventory records, and ensure all products are accurately documented

salary: $19 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

 Organize and store products in the appropriate locations.  Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring they are properly packaged and labeled.

 Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system.  Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to address shipping issues.

 Assist with stock checks and other inventory-related tasks.

 Lift, move, and carry packages as necessary, adhering to safety protocols.

 Perform other duties as assigned to support shipping and receiving operations.

Requirements:

 Attention to Detail: Must be able to carefully inspect products and ensure all information is accurate.

 Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform simple calculations for measurements, quantities, and shipping details.

 Organizational Abilities: Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to keep shipments on schedule.

 Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move packages, often weighing up to 50 lbs

 Computer Literacy: Basic understanding of inventory management systems and ability to use computers for data entry (word & excel).

 Communication Skills: Great verbal and written communication skills to work with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
