Rider/Beginner Instructor/Working Student
Rider/Beginner Lesson Instructor/Working Student – Unique Learning Opportunity for a dedicated horse person.
We are offering a learning-focused position for a Rider/Beginner Lesson Instructor/Working Student. This opportunity will expand your knowledge and skills in riding, training, and instruction while working with a wide range of horses, from the unhandled to upper-level athletes.
Our approach to training is different from traditional methods, which often prioritize shortcuts and gadgets that can lead to long-term soundness and behavioral issues. Many of today’s common training practices contribute to kissing spine, suspensory injuries, back pain, joint deterioration, chronic lameness along with stress and inappropriate behaviors. We focus on proper biomechanics, functional movement and behavioral based training to help our horses remain pain-free, sound, and mentally engaged in their work. By allowing horses to develop correct posture and balance, we create willing, happy partners who are physically capable of performing without discomfort or resistance.
This role offers daily instruction, hands-on experience with a variety of horses, and the chance to assist our instructors and teach beginner lessons in a supportive, education-driven environment. We are looking for a hardworking, eager learner who is open to rethinking traditional training practices and wants to deepen their understanding of biomechanics, behavior and correct horse development, while still practicing good boundaries .
