Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit position requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of experience.
Details
- Work in a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 36 hours per week
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for individual patients and families, including those with complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning needs
- Communicates with patients and families using cultural competency and active listening to develop and update the plan of care
- ACLS certification may be required for some units prior to performing clinical care; training and certification opportunities will be provided
