PrideStaff is currently seeking a hands-on Shop Technician in Charlotte, NC. This role involves building electrical control cabinets and mechanical sub-assemblies, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic panels. You'll be responsible for all technical and administrative tasks related to equipment builds and quality control, helping to coordinate production with sales and operations to meet delivery schedules and profitability goals. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver with a knack for learning new systems.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible hours from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM are available after training)

Pay Rate: $22-28/hr., *depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly and Wiring: Follow electrical and hydraulic schematics to assemble industrial panels, mount components, and route and bundle wires neatly.

• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot panels to fix wiring errors and component malfunctions, maintaining redline mark-ups for any changes made during fabrication.

• Quality Control: Inspect completed orders to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Maintenance: Maintain shop tools and supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in electrical control panel assembly and/or hydraulics is preferred. A strong background in Point to Point and Functional Testing is a plus.

• Skills: Ability to understand and work from technical schematics and BOMs. You should be familiar with hand and power tools and proficient at reading a tape measure.

• Knowledge: Must be able to learn hydraulic and pneumatic skills, as well as basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP, and scheduling tools are a plus).

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a related technical degree is a plus.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lbs and meet the other physical requirements associated with panel building.
