HM Staffing is seeking a Project Construction Manage r, who will be responsible for total delivery of services safely, on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations on moderately complex projects. Work at this level requires progressive experience in construction management and involves the utilization of project controls for cost,
schedule, and quality of projects. This work will be performed under the supervision of the Site's Senior
Construction Manager. As a function of project management, the role will support the ongoing effort to execute
project deliverables as they relate to the projects...

o Familiarity with and utilizing department standards.
o Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a task.
o Extensive knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents
environment. Ability to ensure contractors activities are planned and executed with safety first.
o Responsible for the safe performance of all contractors on the assigned project.
o Consulting with design leaders, then following up for support to ensure efficient progress and quality of
technical contractual activities on one or more projects of various sizes.
o Promoting continued relationships with clients.
o Participating in field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as
participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions.
o Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.

o Providing on-site assistance during startup.
o Coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
0 Consult with design leaders to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled
completion of the project.
0 Advising the engineer personnel concerning design or scope changes, which have been identified.
0 Reviewing and checking vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for input.

o Reviewing construction specifications.
o Reviewing fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering
drawings and specifications.
o Coordinating contractor activities to avoid lost time due to problem resolutions or lack of direction.
o Monitoring contractor resource assignments to ensure that the correct numbers of resources are assigned
to the work.
o Support bidding activities with supplier base.
o Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
o Ability to lead a small team to deliver on commitments.
o Knowledge of Rio Tinto project execution procedures.
o Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
o Knowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.
o Demonstrated proficiency in complex project management.
o Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments.
o A comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and
construction processes.
o Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.
