ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Roxboro, North Carolina (27573) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: September 1, 2025
• End Date: December 1, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-Hour Days (07:00-19:00), every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840
• ICU Unit Size: 6 beds
• Patient Ratio: 3:1
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend
• Strong clinical skills in acute and critical care nursing
• Experience with COPD exacerbation and related ICU diagnoses preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill adults in a 6-bed ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using Meditech EHR
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and their families
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices in critical care nursing
