Senior Superintendent - General Construction

About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join our team and take leadership in managing and overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on significant, high-value projects. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, while managing the day-to-day operations on the job site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all field operations, including managing subcontractors, construction crews, and project schedules.
- Ensure that all safety standards and regulations are met or exceeded on job sites.
- Coordinate daily activities on site to ensure the project progresses smoothly, and issues are addressed promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Monitor and maintain quality control, ensuring that work is completed per design specifications and building codes.
- Manage project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and address any budget discrepancies in collaboration with the project team.
Requirements
- Experience : At least 10 years of experience in construction, with a strong background in commercial projects, ideally ranging from $50M to $100M.
- Leadership : Proven experience managing construction teams, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel.
- Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and building codes.
- Skills : Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Local Knowledge : Familiarity with local Charleston building codes and regulations is highly desirable.
