Your role and responsibilities:
Play a key role in achieving successful technology and product development outcomes by identifying proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Leverage specialized technical expertise to guide and oversee critical development tasks.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Demonstrating solid technical competence in tools methods and problem-solving with the ability to learn and apply advanced motor design principles for AC DC variable speed PM and induction motors; proficient in FEA programs.
- Supporting cross-functional collaboration by working with marketing sales manufacturing and other departments authorizing material substitutions and resolving related design and application issues.
- Driving design improvements and customer satisfaction through analyzing motor test data implementing initiatives to enhance performance and actively contributing as a member of the design team.
- Showing leadership potential with a strong interest in becoming a technical expert in electric motor design; must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder).
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred Experience Includes: Previous motor engineering design of motors and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) AutoCAD SolidWorks.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
