Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center in Wilmington, NC is hiring a a full- time Sterile Processing Assistant to join our outstanding team!

Compensation: $16.50 - $19.95/hr, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM

The Sterile Processing Assistant will play an integral part of supporting our hospital by ensuring surgical instruments are properly prepared, sterilized, and organized for a wide range of emergency and specialty procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with sterile processing and knowledge of Medical/Surgical instruments in either human or veterinary medicine preferred.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks, with strong communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments
• Prepare instrument packs and specialized trays for scheduled and emergency procedures
• Uphold strict aseptic techniques and hospital-wide biosecurity policies
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
