Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A critical role is available for a Registered Nurse specialized in the Operating Room to support surgical teams in a high-acuity environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse surgical procedures within a Level 3 Trauma center known for managing a broad spectrum of cases daily.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and provide care before, during, and after surgical procedures across multiple specialties including trauma, orthopedic trauma, spine, cardiac, GYN, oncology, robotics, bariatrics, urology, ENT, and plastics.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR personnel to ensure patient safety and process efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with perioperative standards and protocols.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotations to support continuous patient care.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage complex case scenarios in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (RN).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operating room nursing.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of various surgical specialties and patient care needs during operative procedures.

Shift Details:

• 12-hour day shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Shift hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Weekend on-call rotation required.
