Independence Mazda is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable technician who can accurately diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles while producing quality work efficiently. Compensation and Benefits- $80,000–$130,000 annual earning potential , based on experience, skill level, flat-rate production, and performance

- Perform maintenance and repairs according to repair-order instructions
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, driveability, and vehicle-system concerns
- Use diagnostic equipment and Mazda special-service tools correctly
- Complete inspections and clearly document all findings
- Provide accurate labor-time estimates for additional repairs
- Communicate repair findings to the service advisor and management team
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements
- Road-test vehicles when required to verify concerns and completed repairs
- Maintain complete and accurate repair-order documentation
- Follow dealership safety, quality-control, and shop procedures
- Attend required Mazda training and maintain assigned certifications
- Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and safe
- At least three years of professional automotive-technician experience required
- Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to perform work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical service information
- Strong written documentation and communication skills
- Dependable attendance and professional work habits
- Ability to work effectively with advisors, parts personnel, and other technicians
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Mazda, dealership, ASE, or other manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required for the right experienced candidate.
