• Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist (Locum Tenens)
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370–$2,430
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel healthcare contract)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Every 5th weekend (7am Saturday to 7am Monday)
• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (5 beds, 25 staff members)
• Scrub Color: Surgical Green

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience in an Electrophysiology (EP) or Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Proficiency with X-ray, PACS, Mac Lab, istat, and Avox equipment preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR system is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Support structural heart procedures as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized Cath Lab equipment
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
