Position Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities through partnerships, market expansion, and new revenue channels. This role will focus on driving long-term business value by cultivating relationships, exploring new markets, and leading initiatives that align with the company’s overall growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to support growth objectives across key markets and verticals.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and expansion into new markets or customer segments.
- Responsible for growing through managing of sales agencies to support performance remotely or in the field when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current partners, clients, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform decision-making and identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations, finance) to ensure the seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Create and present business cases for new initiatives, including ROI analysis and risk assessments.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to elevate brand visibility and expand the business network.
- Monitor and report on the progress of business development initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed based on results and feedback.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, providing insights on market dynamics, partnership potential, and growth strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate Voice-Of-The-Customer into actionable requirements.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and sales processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and promotes collaborative work culture.
- Team-oriented leadership approach.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience selling into Telecom
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of Office 365 and CRM Systems; NetSuite preferred
Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds for short periods.
- Must be able to travel up to 50% to build customer relationships, prospect new customers, work with manufacturers’ representatives, and attend industry shows.
