We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine dining, attention to detail, and experience in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen. You will work closely with our executive chef and kitchen staff to prepare and execute dishes that meet our restaurant’s high standards.

located in the heart of Highlands, NC.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency and quality of food presentation.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and stocking kitchen inventory.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 USD Annually

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
• Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions

• Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements

• Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation

• Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality

• Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward

• Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized

• Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef

• Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner

• Properly measuring

•Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks

• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance

• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts

• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
