We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Shelby, North Carolina. This role involves managing critical accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a keen eye for detail to optimize financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities:• Oversee and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, verifying all transactions meet accounting standards.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial statements and bank records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in preparing detailed financial reports and analyses.
• Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Support audits by supplying accurate documentation and responding to inquiries.• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
